The COVID-19 pandemic has spread through the world, devastating the lives of Americans, and Shell US is focused on doing our part to aid in the response.
US operations must continue to provide critical support to communities
We recognize that Shell’s US operations must continue to provide critical support to communities, from consumers and first responders, who rely on Shell fuel, to the makers of medical devices and cleaning supplies who rely on petrochemical supply from Shell manufacturing sites. We are taking action to ensure those supply chains remain strong throughout this disruptive period.
Local Support
- Helping health care workers get access to medical supplies in Louisiana, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Washington State.
-
Through Shell TapUp, providing fuel to Meals on Wheels programs in three states, as well as to the Houston Police Department.
-
Supporting efforts to distribute meals to children on free and reduced lunch programs, senior citizens, first responders and hospital workers in areas like Houston, West Texas and the greater New Orleans area. Activities include donating food to Second Harvest of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana.
-
Supporting local community relief fund efforts in Louisiana to aid residents and organizations in a 10-parish region.
- Providing laptops to students along with access to online curriculums in support of districts transitioning to homeschool education programs.
Matching Donations
Finally, we are matching donations our employees have made to support organizations devoted to the COVID-19 response. However long this period lasts, we promise to continue providing essential services to our consumers and communities while finding opportunities to help where our skills and resources can serve the greater good.
